Jeep Meridian SUV to be showcased on March 29, may launch by May 2022

Jeep will unveil the features, dimensions, and engine specifications of its upcoming three-row SUV Meridian on March 29. It can be launched in India in May. The company recently showed the exterior and interior styling of this SUV through pictures.

 

More than 80 percent of the Jeep Meridian SUVs will be produced in India. Although this is the Jeep Commander that was recently showcased in Brazil, its Indian version will come with many changes. It is speculated that this vehicle can be launched in 6-seater and 7-seater configurations.

During the launch, this SUV will be launched with a diesel engine, In this, a retuned version of the 2.0-liter diesel engine of the Compass can be given. Along with the engine, it will get a manual and automatic transmission, and an all-wheel-drive system is optional.

The upcoming SUV is expected to feature a powered tailgate, power-adjustable and ventilated front seats, panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch digital driver display, 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car technology, seven airbags, and a 360-degree camera.

 

It is expected that this SUV from Jeep can also be given ADAS with features like automatic emergency braking, blind-spot and cross-traffic detection, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and park assist. Jeep Meridian price in India can start from Rs 30 lakh. In the segment, it will compete with Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, and Skoda Kodiaq.
