Details of Tata Punch's engine, transmission, and all the features have been revealed

. The Punch SUV will be available in a total of four variants which are Pure, Adventure, Accomplished and Creative.

. It gets a split headlamp setup, body cladding, C-Pillar mounted door handles, 90-degree opening doors, and an SUV-like layout.

. It comes with features like automatic headlights, cruise control, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a 7.0-inch free-floating touchscreen infotainment system, connected car technology, and auto air conditioning.

. This vehicle has been given an 86 Ps 1.2 L petrol engine with which option of 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox will be available.

. The length of the Punch micro SUV will be 3827 mm, width is 1742 mm and height will be 1615 mm (without mirrors).

The curtain has been lifted from Tata's entry-level micro SUV Punch. The company has shared information about its engine specification and all other features. The bookings for this upcoming micro SUV have started and it will be launched in India this month. Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative will be the four variants available for this micro SUV.

Tata Punch has been given a boxy stance. Some elements in its design have been taken from other cars of the company. It gets split headlamps like the Harrier and a gloss black grille like the Nexon. The double plastic cladding has been used on its bumper.

On the front, it gets projector headlamps with LED DRLs and on the side, 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, 90-degree opening doors like the Altroz, C-pillar mounted door handles, and raked roofline with roof rails are provided. The rear design is inspired by the Nexon, where similar tri-arrow taillights and tailgates have been given.

Its cabin has been given a dual-tone dark grey and ivory theme. It gets features like a free-floating 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7.0-inch semi-digital instrument cluster same as the Altroz, automatic AC, cruise control, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, IRA connected car technology, and push-button start-stop.

For the safety of the passenger, this upcoming Tata car has been given features like dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, ISOFIX child seat anchors, cornering control, and rear parking camera.

The micro SUV Punch measures 3827 mm in length, 1742 mm in width, and 1615 mm in height. Its ground clearance is the highest in the segment at 187 mm. Its boot space and water wading capacities are 366 litres and 370 mm respectively.

The Tata Punch will be powered by an 86 Ps/ 113 Nm 1.2L petrol engine which does duty on Tiago and Altroz with a choice of 5-speed manual and AMT gearboxes. Apart from this, it also gets an idle start-stop system and Traction pro-management (AMT only). In the future, the company may also add the option of a 110 Ps 1.2L turbo petrol engine which does duty on Altroz iTurbo.

In India, the Tata Punch might cost as little as 5.5 lakh rupees (ex-showroom). In the segment, this small SUV will compete with Mahindra KUV100 NXT and Maruti Suzuki Ignis. On the price front, it will also compete with Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
