The launch of new 250 cc motorcycles of the popular Pulsar series in India has been speculated for many years and the testing prototypes of these bikes is being seen continuously for the past few months. Hence, it was assumed that Bajaj Auto is planning to launch a new motorcycle under the Pulsar series, but now its launch date has been confirmed.

Bajaj Auto Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj also recently confirmed that the new Pulsar platform will be launched around November, which will be the most powerful bike in the Pulsar range and now the company has released its first basic teaser, according to which the company will launch Pulsar 250 on 28 October 2021.

We expect Bajaj Auto to launch both the NS250 and 250F motorcycles under the Pulsar range on the 28th, with the first model probably going over the existing NS200- naked streetfighter while the latter 250F model will be on top of the 220F. Most of the existing range of Pulsar is developed on the steel tubular frame and the new platform can help in enhancing its rough character and reducing the overall weight.

It is being said that the new Pulsar platform will be expanded to other motorcycles in the lineup over the next 12 months and it will be interesting to see how it pans out. Going by the earlier images, the NS250 and 250F will have bigger ratios and their styling has basically been upgraded over their smaller 200 cc siblings.

Speculations suggest that the brand is also working on developing the faired RS250. Hence, with the launch of Pulsar 250 and the current Dominar 250, Bajaj will have more bikes in the 250 cc segment as the company also sells 250 cc motorcycles under the KTM and Husqvarna brands.

The Pulsar NS250 will get an LED projector headlamp, sleek-looking LED daytime running lights, sharp bodywork, aggressive fuel tank shrouds, redesigned black alloy wheels, restyled taillamps, stubby exhaust canister, etc. while the Pulsar 250F is a semi faired evolution of the 220F  with a taller windscreen and upright handlebar setup.

A new 250 cc, the oil-cooled engine is expected to power the Bajaj Pulsar NS250 and 250F. However, the exact power and torque ratings are unknown as of now. This engine can be mated to a six-speed transmission. The Bajaj Pulsar NS250 and 250F are expected to have better-touring capabilities than the existing Pulsar range.
