On November 10th, New generation of Maruti Celerio will be launched

Maruti Suzuki had postponed the launch of the new generation Celerio in September. Now information has been received from the sources associated with the company that this new generation model will be launched in India on November 10.

The 2021 Maruti Celerio can be built on the HEARTECH platform that also underpins WagonR. Some time ago some of its pictures were leaked, according to which it will be bigger in size than before. Maruti has given it a boxy stance and has made good use of curve lines.

In the leaked images, the new Ccelerio car was seen with droplet-shaped headlamps, fog lamps, and black alloy wheels (probably 14 inches). It can be given features like Maruti's latest touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity, Auto AC, Steering mounted audio controls, and reverse parking camera. For passenger safety, features like dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, and ABS with EBD can be given in this upcoming car.

The new model of Maruti Suzuki Celerio will continue to get the same 1.0-liter petrol engine (68 Ps/ 113 Nm) as before. Apart from this, the option of a 1.2-liter petrol engine (83 Ps/ 113 Nm) of the WagonR can also be given in it. With the engine, it can get a choice of 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox as before. There are discussions that the company may also introduce its CNG-powered version later.

The new Maruti Celerio's price could be slightly higher than the current model. Currently, Celerio's price ranges between Rs 4.65 lakh and Rs 6 lakh, and Celerio's X price ranges between Rs 5.11 lakh to Rs 5.91 lakh (ex-showroom). In the segment, this Maruti car will compete with Tata Tiago, Datsun Go, Maruti Suzuki WagonR, and Hyundai Santro. Soon Maruti will also bring the new Celerio X, although its launch date is not yet known.
