MG Astor may be launched on 7 October, will comptete with Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta

. It has been given segment-first ADAS technology which includes features like Adaptive Cruise control, Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Lane Keep Assist.

. The Astor will get 110 Ps 1.5 L petrol and 140 Ps 1.3 L turbo petrol engine options.

It has been learned from the dealers of MG Motors India that the Astor SUV will be launched in India on 7 October. The company has already started delivering this upcoming SUV to the dealership. At the same time, some dealerships are also taking unofficial booking of this vehicle from where interested customers can book it by paying a token amount of Rs 50,000.

MG Astor will be available in a total of five variants which are Style, Super, Smart, Sharp, and Savvy. It will get a choice of 110 Ps 1.5 L petrol and 140 Ps 1.3 L turbo petrol engines.  It will get a 6-speed automatic gearbox as standard with the turbo engine, while the naturally aspirated engine will get a choice of 6-speed manual and CVT gearbox.

The Astor SUV features a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car technology, wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity, panoramic sunroof, power driver seat, 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, and LED lighting. This will be the first car in India to get a robotic-type personal AI assistant device. When the person sitting in the car speaks, it will turn towards him and give a human-like reaction. Apart from this, this device will also accept your voice commands.

For the safety of the passenger, it will be given features like six airbags, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, and hill descent control. The Astor also gets segment-first ADAS (Autonomous Driver Assistance System) which includes features like Automatic Emergency Braking, Adaptive cruise control, Lane Keep Assist, Forward collision warning, and Blind Spot Monitoring System.

The price of MG Astor in India can be kept around Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). In the segment, this SUV will be compared to Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun and Hyundai Creta.
