We break down the benefits, drawbacks, and reasons to buy (or not buy) the XUV700 MX base model.
Mahindra XUV700 was expected to be priced aggressively but the company surprised everyone by announcing the price of its base variant MX. This variant is much cheaper than the rivals. Why should I skip the MX variant?
The MX variant doesn't have enough features to be expected from an SUV like the XUV700. If you opt for the MX variant equipped with a diesel engine, it has been detuned for low performance, but still, it is much better than the engine found in compact SUVs. We would advise you to skip the MX variant and go for the AX variant, which offers much better premium features.
Variant | Verdict | ||
---|---|---|---|
MX | Good list of equipment for a base variant. If you're on a tight budget, this is something to think about | ||
AX3 | For the feature additions, the price doesn't seem justified. Skip this variant | ||
AX5 | The most cost-effective option, as well as our overall suggestion | ||
AX7 | The cost appears to be reasonable, and you should think about whether you want ADAS. The luxury pack feels a little overpriced. |
