Now the company has taken the wraps off its smaller two-row model. It is smaller than the 7-seater model and is also the first Grand Cherokee to get a plug-in hybrid option.
Here's how the 5 seater Grand Cherokee is smaller than the bigger Grand Cherokee L:-

Length | 4914 mm | 5204 mm | - 290 mm |
Width (ORVMs folded) | 1968 mm | 1964 mm | + 4 mm |

Jeep has kept the styling almost the same except for a few cosmetic updates. The option of the off-road focus Trailhawk variant has also been kept in the 5-seater version. Its ground clearance has been kept high for better off-roading and its approach and departure angle are also better. Apart from this, more rugged bumpers and visible tow hooks have also been given in it.
The Grand Cherokee will get three engine options in the US: the 3.6-liter V6 (297 Ps/ 352Nm), the 5.7-liter V8 (326 Ps/ 529 Nm), and the new 2.0-liter turbo hybrid (381 Ps/ 637 Nm). It will get an all-wheel-drive option with all engines. Its hybrid variant will get 4XE badging. The hybrid variant will get a 17kWh battery and will have an all-electric range of 40 km.
