Customers can now take Volkswagen Taigun even on a monthly subscription

Apart from Volkswagen Taigun, Polo, Vento, and T-Roc can also be taken on subscription.

Volkswagen now plans to offer the Taigun compact SUV on a monthly subscription basis. Its subscription plan starts at Rs 28,000 and can be availed on subscription for 24, 36, and 48 months. The company has not yet shared the price list of its variant-wise monthly plan.

All the options like maintenance, insurance cover, 100% on-road finance, and vehicle upgrade have been included in the subscription plan. Customers can take its Dynamic Line series and GT Plus variants on a subscription basis. The company is not offering its GT 1.5 liter TSI manual variant on subscription.

The Volkswagen Taigun that is taken on subscription will come with a white number which can be used by customers for personal purposes only. Initially, this subscription service is available across 30 Volkswagen outlets in Chennai, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Delhi NCR, Pune, Banglore, and Hyderabad.

Volkswagen Taigun is available in two variants: Dynamic and Performance line. The price of this SUV is between Rs 10.49 lakh to Rs 17.49 lakh (introductory price ex-showroom Delhi).

The Taigun SUV is available in two engine options: 110 Ps 1.0L Turbo Petrol and 150 Ps 1.5L Turbo Petrol. With both the engines, a 6-speed manual transmission is standard. There is also a choice of a 6-speed automatic with the 1.0-liter engine and a 7-speed DSG (dual-clutch automatic) gearbox with the 1.5-liter engine.

It gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, connected car technology, wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity, 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster, red ambient lighting, ventilated seats, electric sunroof, wireless charging, LED headlights, and taillamps. For passenger safety, it gets six airbags, a rear parking camera, electronic stability control, hill hold control, tire pressure monitoring system, electronic differential locking, and traction control.

The Volkswagen Taigun is compared to Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, Renault Duster, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, and Maruti Suzuki S-Cross.
