The second-generation Hyundai Creta is going to get the mid-life facelift update soon. Its official teaser has also been released. It will be launched in Indonesia by the end of this year. This facelift model has also been spotted several times during testing. Its teaser sketch has confirmed that there will be slight changes in its design layout. Tucson front

The front look of the new Creta looks similar to the new Tucson SUV. It has a sporty grille and integrated headlights near the grille. Its design is not much different from the current Creta. The current Creta gets split headlights which make it look more premium.

Minor changes on the rear side

Hyundai has not made many changes to the rear design of the facelift Creta. There have been minor changes around the number plate housing on the taillamps that match its front design. Its rear design is quite sporty. Variant wise slight changes can be seen on its new bumper.

Same features as Seltos and Alcazar

The top variant of the second generation Creta lacked some premium features. At the same time, now the lack of these premium features will hardly be seen in the facelift version. The vehicle will get the same features as the Alcazar 360-degree parking camera, front parking sensors, large 10.25-inch digital display on the instrument cluster.

Will be equipped with ADAS feature

To give tough competition to the MG Astor and Mahindra XUV700 in the updated Creta the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) will be included with features like Auto Emergency braking and Adaptive Cruise Control. However, this technology will be available only in its top variant.

Not much change in powertrain

The Creta compact SUV will be offered with three engines and multiple transmission options which will include:-

Similar to the Seltos, the facelifted Creta can be offered multiple transmission options. It can be mated to a manual transmission with a turbo petrol engine and an iMT (clutchless manual) gearbox with the naturally aspirated petrol engine.

The new Hyundai Creta can be launched in India by 2022. It can be kept at a higher price than the existing model. Currently, the Hyundai Creta price ranges between Rs 10.16 lakh to Rs 17.87 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The facelifted Creta will compete with the Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Hector, and Tata Harrier.
