2021 KTM RC200 bike launched in India, priced at Rs 2.09 lakh

The 2021 KTM RC200 is powered by the existing 199.5 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled four-stroke, engine that develops 25 bhp of power and 19.2 Nm of torque.

Renowned Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM recently unveiled the new generation of three motorcycles from its RC range, namely RC390, RC200, and RC125. Now the company has launched Rc200 and RC125 in the Indian market. While the company has priced the RC125 at Rs 1,82 lakh, the RC200 has been priced at Rs 2.09 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom).

With its launch, the 2021 KTM RC200 has started arriving at the brand's official dealerships and bookings have started, while deliveries of the bike will start in a few days. Buyers can bring the new motorcycle home during the festive season with a special offer for a down payment of Rs 24,000 and the company is also offering attractive finance schemes on its purchase.

The company has made several changes in the design and hardware of the 2021 KTM RC Series and it has been developed on a new chassis. It gets better ergonomics, updated electronics, and GP-inspired styling. Key features of the KTM RC200 also include new adjustable handlebars, LCD dash instrument cluster, a new LED headlamp, and a larger airbox.

The fuel tank capacity of the KTM RC200 has now increased from 9.3 liters to 13.7 liters and the split steel trellis frame is lightweight and rigid. Supermoto ABS has also been introduced in the new motorcycle and in addition, the wheels are lighter than earlier. To control the bike, a 320 mm disc brake has been given in the front and a 230 mm disc brake in the rear.

Talking about the design of the motorcycle, it is quite attractive and gets a curved radiator, stiffer hollow front axle, windscreen with unique laser texture, and an aluminum cast and split pillion grip, as well as an integrated front position lamp with front blinkers. The India-spec RC200 gets all the features of the international edition along with a fully LED headlamp system.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sumeet Narang, President Pro-biking Business Unit, Bajaj Auto Limited said that the KTM RCs are race-bred machines with their technology and look inspired by the MotoGP racer KTM RC6. These motorcycles have strengthened KTM's portfolio and are loved by fans of supersport motorcycles in India for their attractive features and aggressively sharp looks.

To power, the KTM RC200, the current model's 199.5 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled four-stroke fuel-injected engine has been given, which develops 25 bhp power at 10000 rpm and 19.2 Nm of torque at 8000 rpm. The company says that the cooling of the bike has been improved and it increases the comfort of the rider even more than before.
