Skoda Kushaq can now be launched in June, know what its price will be

Only turbo-petrol engines will be available in the Creta-Seltos competitor.

At the unveiling of the Kushaq, Skoda said that prices will be revealed in June.

The launch of this compact SUV was postponed due to the outbreak of the second wave of the Corona epidemic.

Choice of 1.0-litre with 115 Ps power and 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine generating 150 Ps power will be given in it.

Features like a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, connected car technology and ventilated front seats will be available in this SUV.

The Skoda Kushaq's price can be kept between 9 to 17 lakh rupees.

Despite disruptions caused by the second wave of COVID-19 in India, the upcoming Skoda Kushaq comapct SUV is expected to launch as planned by the end of June.

Skoda Kushaq will be offered in three variants: Active, Ambition and Style. Apart from the regular models, the Monte Carlo Edition with a sporty look will also be launched in the market after some time. Kushaq's looks will be slightly more premium than other cars in comparison, while its road presence will also be strong.

The upcoming Kushaq SUV will get features like a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system equipped with connected car technology, ventilated front seats and cruise control. Apart from this, safety feature such as 6 airbags, electronic stability control and front and rear parking sensors will also be available in this SUV.

The Kushaq SUV is the first product on the Volkswagen Group's newly developed MQB A0 IN platform. This 5-seater SUV from Skoda will get two turbo petrol engines: 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI. The smaller engine is the same as in other VW Group cars like the Polo and Rapid, but it has been significantly upgraded to produce 115 Ps and 175 Nm of torque. The larger engine option, which debuted in the much more expensive Karoq, produces 150 Ps and 250 Nm of torque. Both engines will have a 6-speed manual transmission, while the 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine will have a 6-speed torque converter auto and the 1.5-litre engine will have a 7-speed DSG (dual-Clutch) automatic transmission.

The Skoda Kushaq's price can be kept between 9 to 17 lakh rupees. In the compact SUV segment, it will compete with SUVs like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Apart from this, the SUV will also compete with the Mahindra Scorpio, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Renault Duster, Nissan Kicks and the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun.
