The new Mahindra XUV500 has been renamed XUV700 by Mahindra.

This vehicle has also been spotted many times during testing. This SUV was earlier spotted in its production ready avatar.

The interior and exterior of the XUV700 will be brand new. Its design will look sharper and more premium than before.

It can be given features such as an advanced driver-assist system, 36-degree camera and ventilated front seats.

The vehicle will get 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines with optional AWD (all-wheel-drive).

The new XUV700 will be unveiled soon. In India, this SUV can be launched by July 2021.

The new-generation Mahindra XUV500 has been in the news for a long time. The upcoming SUV has been spotted many times during testing. Now the company has announced that its new generation model will be named XUV700.

Its pictures have already been leaked according to which the shape of the new generation model of this SUV looks similar to the current model, but its design is completely new and its size may also be bigger than before. This vehicle looks sharper, bolder and more premium than before. The XUV700 SUV is built on Mahindra's new W601 monocoque platform. Its engine options are also different from before.

According to photos, its interior will be brand new and it will also look more premium than before. On the dashboard, it will have an integrated display for the digital instrument cluster and central infotainment system. The size of both its screens can be larger than 10-inches.

It is estimated that the XUV700 can be provided with radar based safety features such as autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control. Apart from this, this SUV will get comfort features such as ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, 360-degree camera and powered driver seat with memory function. During testing, this vehicle has also been seen with a panoramic sunroof.

The new 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.0-litre diesel engine will be offered in this new SUV from Mahindra. The same engine options are also available in second generation Thar. However, it is speculated that they can be introduced by tuning into the larger XUV700. The turbo petrol engine in the Thar generates 150 Ps of power and 320 Nm of torque, while its diesel engine has a power output of 130 Ps and 300 Nm. With both engine, it has 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options. The Mahindra XUV700 will also come in all-wheel-drive variants.

Mahindra XUV500 price in India is between Rs 15.13 lakh to Rs 19.56 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It is estimated that the price of the upcoming XUV700 can start from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 22 lakhs. In the segment, this vehicle will compete with the top-line variants of Tata Harrier/ Safari, MG Hector/ Hector Plus, Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos and the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar. The launch date of the XUV700 is yet to be revealed. It is estimated that the SUV will arrive at the showroom by July.
