Jaguar i-Pace electric SUV will now be launched on March 23

The 470-kilometre range luxury electric crossover will compete with the Mercedes Benz EQC.

The Jaguar i-Pace electric SUV was first to be launched on March 9, but now the vehicle will be launched on March 23.

The company has installed EV infrastructure at 22 Jaguar dealerships present in 19 cities. 

This vehicle will be available in three variants. Its price can be kept between 1 crore and 1.5 crore rupees.

The Jaguar i-Pace will be powered by two electric motors with a combined power output of 400 Ps and 696 Nm.

This vehicle will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h within 4.8 seconds.

The launch of the Jaguar i-Pace electric SUV has pushed ahead. Earlier this electric SUV was to be launched on March 9, but now it will be launched in India on March 23. It is Jaguar's first electric vehicle and will be the second luxury EV in the country after the Mercedes Benz EQC. All the facilities related to an electric vehicle will be available at 22 dealerships of Jaguar in 19 cities.

A total of 35 chargers are installed at all these dealerships. Apart from this, more than 200 charging stations of Tata can also be used. Booking of this SUV in India has started in November 2020.

This upcoming SUV will be available in a total of three variants S, SE and HSE. It will be equipped with two electric motors that will jointly generate 400 Ps of power and 696 Nm of torque. It will be given a single speed transmission with the engine. It will also get an all-wheel-drive setup. This car will take 4.8 seconds to catch the speed of 100 Kilometres per hour.

According to the WLTP (Worldwide Light Vehicle Test Procedure) cycle, the Jaguar i-Pace SUV will be able to cover a range of up to 470 km. It will have a 90 kW hour battery pack. Apart from this, a complimentary 7.4 kW hour AC fast charger will also be provided with this car, which will give this car full charge in 13 hours. The vehicle will be able to travel up to 250 km on an hourly charge through a 50 kW DC fast charger. At the same time, this car will be able to cover a range of 127 km on charging for 15 minutes through a 100 kW DC charge.

The feature list of this 5-seater SUV includes dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, 16-way powered adjustable, cooled and heated front seats, matrix LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, head-up display, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, lane keep assist, 360-degree camera, six-airbags and 20-inch alloy wheels.

In the segment, Jaguar i-Pace will compete only with Mercedes Benz EQC. In India, the price of this car can be kept close to one crore rupees.
