Volvo S60 launched in India, price Rs 45.90 lakh

Better late than never, with its introductory prices and a long list of safety features, the Volvo S60 sedan is all set to conquer Indian roads.

The price of Volvo S60 has been kept at 45.90 lakh rupees (ex-showroom).

The car is available in single variant and single powertrain combinations.

It has got a 5-star rating in Euro NCAP.

Safety features are given as much as Volvo 90 series.

A 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine has been given, which generates 190 Ps of power and 300 Nm of torque.

Features such as panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, leather seats and 600-watt Harman Kardon sound system are given in it.

It will compete with Audi A4, Mercedes C-Class, BMW 3-series and Jaguar XE.

Volvo has launched the S60 in India, priced at Rs 45.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has said that this price has been kept only for limited customers who book this car online and such customers will also be given the benefit of Volvo's Tre Kronor Experience program. Customers who book this car in January and February will start receiving delivery of this new car by mid-March.

The design of the new S60 is quite similar to that of the larger S90 car, with Thor's hammer headlights. Apart from this, 10-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels have also been given in it. This model which was to be launched in India by 2020 was unveiled in 2019. However, its launch was delayed due to covid 19 epidemic.

This engine is provided with an 8-speed automatic gearbox that delivers power to the front wheels. This new Luxury car has been built on Volvo's scalable product architecture platform. This car has been given a 5-star safety rating by Euro NCAP.

The new Volvo S60 2021 gets more than one safety features on the lines of the company's 90 series and XC60 SUVs. These features include Adaptive Cruise control, Lane Keep Assist and Automatic Emergency Braking, which will keep the car safe. According to Volvo, the automatic emergency braking in this car is a system capable of identifying pedestrians, cyclists and large animals along the way.

This car is also a luxury product in terms of features. Its centre console has a touchscreen infotainment system like a 9-inch vertically positioned tablet. The interior has a white and brown leather theme according to your choice and a 14-speaker Harman Kardon music system of 600-watts. Its LED headlights have active bending technology which diverts the light of the vehicle coming from the front and puts the focus on it if the road gets bad or there is an obstacle.

Apart from all this, features such as panoramic sunroof, driving modes, 4-zone climate control, wireless smartphone charging, Apple Carplay and Android Auto have also been given in this Volvo car.
