Nissan has launched its first sub-4 meter compact SUV Magnite in India. It is available in 5 variants: XE, XL, XV, XV Premium and XV Premium optional variants.
The company has also given some segment-first features in this SUV including a 360-degree camera, 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity. Other features include 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, cruise control and auto AC with rear AC vents. Nissan has also introduced tech packs with the XV and XV premium variants of Magnite. It has been priced at Rs. 38,698 ( for all variants). Features like wireless charger, air purifier, JBL speakers, LED scuff plates and puddle lamps have been given in this pack. The Magnite car has been introduced in 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine options. Its naturally aspirated engine generates 72 Ps of power and 96 Nm of torque, while the turbo engine generates 100 Ps of power and 160 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard with both engines, while the CVT option is also provided but only with the turbo petrol engine. Its turbo petrol engine with CVT automatic gearbox generates 152 Nm of torque.
In the sub-4 meter compact SUV segment, its competition is from Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Ford Ecosport, Mahindra XUV300 and Tata Nexon. Renault Kiger is also soon going to enter in this segment.
