Nissan Magnite SUV launched, price starts at Rs. 4.99 lakhs

The Nissan Magnite is available in 1.0-litre naturally aspirated and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine options.

It has a standard 5-speed manual gearbox with both the engines, while the CVT gearbox option is also provided but only with the turbo engine.

This Nissan SUV is available in a total of five variants.

It features wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, 360-degree camera, wireless charger, air purifier and a JBL sound system.

This car is compared to Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Ford Ecosport and Tata Nexon.

The Nissan Magnite SUV has been launched in India. The price of this compact sub-4 meter SUV has been kept between Rs. 4.99 lakh to Rs. 9.35 lakh (ex-showroom). It has been introduced in five variants and two petrol engine options.

The Magnite SUV is built on the CMF-A+ platform aligned with Renault-Nissan. Renault Triber is also built on this platform. It has been introduced in 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine options. Its naturally aspirated engine generates 72 Ps of power and 96 Nm of torque, while the turbo engine generates 100 Ps of power and 160 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard with both the engines, while the CVT option is also provided but only with the turbo engine. Its turbo engine with CVT gearbox generates 152 Nm of torque.

Looking at the price of Nissan Magnite, it can be said that it is a low-priced budget SUV but the feature which is given in it are quite well which allows it to rub its shoulders with the best in the compact SUV segment. The feature list of this sub-4 meter compact SUV includes an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity, 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, 360-degree camera, LED headlamp, automatic climate control and a cruise control. The company is also offering the option of Tech Pack accessories package along with the top-line variants XV and XV Premium of this SUV, which includes features like air purifier, wireless smartphone charger, JBL sound system, LED scuff plate, ambient mood lighting and puddle lamps.

To protect the passenger, this car features dual airbags, ABS with EBD, three-point seat belt, driver and passenger pre-tensioner and features like force limiter, rear parking sensor, rear wiper and defogger in all variants. Its turbo variants have features such as traction control, vehicles dynamic control, hill start assists, hydraulic brake assist. The top-line variant XV Premium also features a tire pressure monitoring system.

In the sub-4 meter SUV segment, this SUV is compared to Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Ford Ecosport, Mahindra XUV300 and Tata Nexon. Renault Kiger is also going to enter this segment soon, this vehicle can be launched in early 2021.
