SUV manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra is planning to launch some of its new products in the year 2021. In the coming year, the company can first launch its second-generation Mahindra XUV500. After this, it is believed that the next-generation Mahindra Scorpio will be launched. For many years in the Indian market, Mahindra Bolero and Scorpio have been the company's best selling SUV's but now because of an increase in competition in the mid-size SUV segment. The company is working on updating its Scorpio SUV.
Recently the 2021 Mahindra Scorpio has been spotted during testing on the outskirts of Coimbatore and some pictures have also been clicked. In the pictures the test mule is using 17-inch steel wheels maybe its is a base model. Apart from this the dual-tone brown and black interior of the new Scorpio can also be seen in these photos. Other than this in the pictures as you can see the front seats of the test mule gets fabric seats, while at the back it gets leather seats maybe they have used a leather cover for the back seats. Apart from this, you can also see adjustable headrest on the front seats of the test mule. But back seats don't get headrest at all maybe they have removed them or as we said you before maybe it is its base model that's why it does not get headrest at back seats.
Internally, the new Mahindra Scorpio is codenamed Z101 and the car is built on a new ladder-on-frame chassis. The company is going to use a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine in this SUV. This engine of the new Mahindra Scorpio will provide 152 Bhp of power. According to the information, 6-speed manual gearbox and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox can be given with this engine. Apart from this, it is also believed that the new Mahindra Scorpio can also be offered with a 2.0-litre petrol engine. The exterior also features a redesigned front grille in the new Mahindra Scorpio.
