German car manufacturer Volkswagen launched its C-segment sedan, Volkswagen Vento, in the Indian market almost a decade ago and since then the company has made almost no changes to the sedan. However, now the company wants to replace this car with the new model. For this, the company has also started preparations and it is believed that the new-generation Volkswagen Vento will be launched in the Indian market by the end of next year and before next-gen Skoda Rapid.

Currently, Volkswagen Vento is being sold at a starting price of Rs 8.93 lakh which goes up to Rs 13.39 lakh for its top model (ex-showroom). However, keeping in mind all the changes, the price of the new-gen model may increase.
Talking about its competitors in the market, after the launch, this car will be competing with existing C-segment sedans such as Skoda Rapid, Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Toyota Yaris and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
