MG Hector facelift will be like this, a glimpse of the SUV captured in the camera

MG's latest Hector will receive a minor update, just in time for its second anniversary.

Highlights:

The front profile of the Hector has been updated, while the bigger wheel on the side and new tail lamps have been given at the rear.

It will get the same 2.0-litre diesel and 1.5-litre turbo engine as before, with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

With the turbo engine, it can also be given a mild-hybrid system, while a 6-speed DCT gearbox can be found with the non-hybrid engine.

The facelift Hector can be launched in India in January 2021.

MG Motor is currently working on facelift Hector. So far it has been spotted many times during testing but each time it was seen covered with camouflage. Now for the first time, this car has been spotted without a camouflage, so now we can understand what the new Hector will be like.

If we look at the photos of the new MG Hector captured in the camera, we will find that the company has made some cosmetic updates in its design. On the front, it has a new grille and bigger wheels on the side. At the rear, it has new tail lamps, which are connected by a black strip. Some photos have also surfaced of the interior of New Hector according to which it will now get a beige finish. Its cabin will be more airy and premium than before. There is little possibility of any major updates in its feature list.

It is being speculated that the company as before will give it a features such as a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system which supports Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity, connected car technology, 360-degree camera, auto AC, large panoramic sunroof, premium sound system, ambient lighting system and a power driver seat. To protect the passenger, it can get features like six airbags, ABS with EBD and electronic stability control just as before.

It will get the same petrol and diesel engines as before. Its petrol model has a 1.5-litre turbo engine that generates 143 Ps of power and 250 Nm of torque. With this engine, it also has the option of a mild-hybrid system. The diesel model is powered by a 2.0-litre engine that generates 170 Ps of power and 350 Nm of torque. It gets a 6-Speed manual gearbox as standard with all engines, while a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission option is also included with the non-hybrid turbo petrol engine.

There are speculations that the facelift MG Hector may be launched in India in January 2021. This car may become a bit expensive than before. Currently, the prices of a Hector is between Rs 12.83 lakh and Rs 18.08 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Comparisons of this car in the segment are from Tata Harrier, Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta. Soon, the new Mahindra XUV500 will also be entering its competition.
