Mahindra has trademarked the name Scorpion.

Earlier, the Scorpio Sting name was registered.

The interior and exterior of the Scorpio 2021 will get cosmetic and feature updates.

It will be offered in the new 2.0-litre turbo petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engine option.

The new Mahindra Scorpio and the new XUV500 are to be launched in India in 2021. The company will introduce the XUV500 by march 2021 and thereafter the new Scorpio SUV will be launched here. Recently some documents have been leaked according to which the company has got a new trademark named Scorpion.

Earlier, Mahindra had filed a trademark under the name Scorpio Sting. This can be its special variant. The Scorpio SUV in India has been around for over 15 years and the name is quite popular as well. In such a situation, there is little possibility of giving this new trademark name to the new Scorpio.

It is speculated that the company may continue to sell the old Scorpio along with the new Scorpio. It will be offered with the new Mahindra Thar's petrol and diesel engine options. Its petrol model will get a 2.0-litre turbo engine while its diesel model will have a 2.2-litre engine. These engines will generate 150 Ps and 130 Ps of power respectively. Along with these engines, it will get a 6-speed automatic and 6-speed manual gearbox option.
