Just 24 black shadow edition units will be available from December 7 onwards.

BMW launched its cheapest luxury car 2 series Gran coupe in India in October 2020. Now the company has launched its limited-edition variant named Black Shadow which is designed on its top model 220d M sport. The BMW 2 Series Gran coupe black shadow edition is priced at Rs. 42.30 lakh (ex-showroom) which is costlier than the variant it is based on by almost 1 lakh rupees. According to the company, only 24 units of it will be sold in the country and its booking will start on December 7.
It is available in two exterior colours Alpine White (Non-Metallic) and Black Sapphire ( Metallic). To make it different from the regular model, the company has made some cosmetic updates in it. This list includes updates such as black front grille, black outside rearview mirror caps, 18-inch black alloy wheels, black rear spoiler and black exhaust tips worth Rs 2.5 lakh.
Its interior is kept in an all-black layout and the company has also used black leather upholstery to give it a sporty feel. Apart from all this, it has the same features as the regular 220d M sports variant which includes features like ambient lighting, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system ( with wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity) and panoramic glass roof. The luxury car features six airbags, attentiveness assistance, cornering braking control (CBC), side-impact protection and ISOFIX child seat anchor for passenger safety.
This special edition BMW car has the same 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine as the regular model, which generates 190 Ps of power and 400 Nm of torque. Along with the engine, it has an 8-speed automatic gearbox that supplies power to the front wheels. It takes 7.5 seconds to get 0 to 100 km/h. For driving, it has been given Eco, Pro, comfort and sport modes.
There is no car directly present in the comparison of the Black Shadow edition. Soon the 2 series Gran coupe will be compared to the upcoming Mercedes-Benz A-class and Audi A3.
