Tata Gravitas will be unveiled on 26 January 2021

Tata Gravitas is in very much discussion these days. This is the three-row version of the Tata Harrier SUV that will be offered in 6- seater and 7-seater options. The company first showcased it in February at the Auto Expo 2020. It is now learned that the company will unveil its production model on 72nd Republic Day.

Recently the pictures of 7-seater Tata Gravitas were leaked. According to the leaked photos, some cosmetic updates have been done to make it stand out from the regular Harrier SUV. The photos had a glimpse of its rear part, according to which it has been given a slightly tweaked taillight design and a thick chrome strip on the boot. Its roof is higher than the regular model, which will give good headroom space for the passenger in the third row.

Like other updates, it may get a new blue shade, new alloy wheels and a new front bumper. The cabin will feature a light black-beige colour theme that will make it different from the Harrier. The rest of its interior layout will be the same a Harrier.

As an additional feature, the company can offer a feature like front parking sensor, electronic parking brake and connected car technology. The regular Harrier features a panoramic sunroof, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, six airbags, rear parking camera, JBL sound system, electrically adjustable driver seat and semi-digital instrument cluster.

Tata Gravitas can come in both 6-seater and 7-seater seating options. In its 6-seater version, captain seats will be given in its second Row. Gravitas will be 80 millimetres higher and 63 millimetres longer than the Tata Harrier.

It will have a 2.0-litre diesel engine of Harrier. This engine generates a power of 170 Ps and torque of 359 Nm. It has a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox option, along with the engine. The company also plans to give it a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, although this engine can not be given at the time of launch but later.

The Tata Harrier has priced between Rs 13.84 lakh and Rs 20.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It is estimated that the price of Tata Gravitas can be expensive from Harrier to around one lakh rupees. In the segment, this upcoming SUV will be compared to Mahindra XUV500 and MG Hector Plus.
