Changes in the feature list of Ford Endeavour, now these features will not be available

Part of its 10-speaker sound system, the active noise cancellation feature was unique to the Ford SUV in the segment.

Ford has now stopped providing an active noise cancellation feature in all its variants.

It will now get 8 speakers instead of the 10-speaker sound system, while the front door chrome scuff plate has also stopped being available.

Aux heater function will no longer be available in Titanium Plus and sport variants.

The Endeavour SUV has priced between Rs 29.99 lakh to Rs 35.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

This full-size SUV is available in four variants: Titanium AT, Titanium Plus 4×2 AT, Titanium 4×4 AT and Sport AT.

Ford has reduced some features in its full-size SUV Endeavour. The company has now stopped providing active noise cancellation features in all its variants, while some other features have also been cut in the Titanium two-wheel-drive variants. The front door chrome scuff plate has bee removed, instead of the 10 speaker sound system, it will be given an 8-speaker sound system. The Aux heater feature in Titanium Plus and Sport variants will no longer be offered now.

The Endeavour has been robbed of its brownie points among rivals by the elimination of the active noise cancellation feature and reduction of speakers. While the former helped to block the noise of the engine from entering the SUV cabin, the Aux heater essentially acted as a rear passenger heater.

However, the Ford Endeavour is still a feature-loaded car in the segment, despite having some features reduction. It has features like the 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity, Ford Pass connected car technology, ambient lighting and a panoramic sunroof. To protect the passenger, it has features such as seven airbags, tire pressure monitoring system and electronic stability control.

The Ford Endeavour is available only in diesel engines. It has a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that generates 170 Ps of power and 420 Nm of torque. Along with the engine, it has a 10-speed automatic gearbox. There is no option of manual transmission in it. The car comes in two-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options.

Currently, the Ford Endeavour has been priced between Rs 29.99 lakh and Rs 35.10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In the segment, this car will be compared to MG Gloster, Toyota Fortuner, Mahindra Alturas G4, Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace and the upcoming Skoda Kodiaq petrol. By 2022, the company can launch the next generation Endeavour in India.
