Toyota showcased the Fortuner's facelift version earlier this year in Thailand.

Now the company has showcased its TRD Sportivo version in Indonesia.

There is a TRD variant of the pre-facelift model of Fortuner available in India, which has some extra features given.

Fortuner's facelift model and TRD Sportivo version can be launched in early 2021.

The Toyota Fortuner facelift model has been showcased in Thailand and is expected to be launched in India in early next year.  While its sporty-looking legendary variant has been introduced in Thailand, the company has now showcased the TRD Sportivo version of its updated model in Indonesia. TRD Sportivo version can be launched in India as this variant is also available in its current model.

Toyota has redesigned the alloy wheels with updating the front and rear bumpers of the Fortuner. Black colour detailing has been done in the TRD Sportivo variant while silver elements have been used in its regular facelift model. Apart from this, it has a different grille, sleek headlamps, sporty bumpers and dual-tone alloy wheels. Also, the red accents and TRD Sportivo decals have been given on its grille.

Apart from this, new design tail lamps and sporty bumpers have also been given in the TRD Sportivo variant of this SUV. The cabin of the Fortuner facelift has also received updates such as the All dark theme, ambient lighting, a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a roof-mounted rear entertainment unit. The existing TRD Sportivo model of Fortuner has a 360-degree camera feature which will also be found in its facelift model. Explain that the company will not offer the sunroof feature even in Fortuner facelift.

It is being speculated that BS6 petrol and diesel engines which does duty on the current model will be given in the updated Fortuner. The current model is powered by a 2.7-litre petrol engine that generates 166 Ps of power and 245 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox and only available in two-wheel drive layout. The Fortuner diesel is powered by a 2.8-litre engine that generates 177 Ps of power and 420 Nm of torque. The facelift model in Thailand will be introduced by improving the NVH level of the diesel engine bringing its power output to 204 Ps/ 500 Nm. 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox options have been introduced in India with this diesel engine. The all-wheel-drive option is also available with the diesel engine. Since the cosmetics updates have been done in the TRD version, the same engine will be given in it.

The Toyota Fortuner facelift can be priced higher than its current model, which is between Rs. 28.66 lakh and Rs. 36.88 lakh. TRD will be the top variant of this SUV which is still there.

In the full-size SUV segment, this car will be compared to the Ford Endeavour, Mahindra Alturas G4 and the recently launched MG Gloster.
