Bs6 Mahindra Marazzo launched

Bs6 updated version of Mahindra's people mover, the marazzo, has been launched after a considerable delay due to COVID-19 crisis with a starting price of Rs 11.25 lakh for the base variant and goes up to Rs 13.59 lakh for the top-end (ex-showroom). Mahindra Marazzo now comes with an upgraded diesel power train, rejigged variant line-up and revised feature list. Bs6 Marazzo now going to be available in a total of six variants: M2(7-seater), M2(8-seater), M4+(7-seater), M4+(8-seater), M6+(7-seater) and M6+(8-seater).

Base M2 variant of updated Bs6 marazzo is now pricier by Rs 1.26 lakh as compared to the bs4 variant while the spec of this variant remains the same. Mahindra has discontinued the top-spec M8 variant which was offered in bs4 Marrazzo and also replaced the M4 and M6 variant with M4+ and M6+ variants respectively. The new top-spec M6+ variant of updated bs6 marazzo is priced at Rs 13.59 lakh for the 8-seater variant as compared to the previous bs4 spec version which was priced at Rs 9.99-14.76 lakh.

Bs6 Marazzo is offered with a same 1.5-litre diesel engine which has been upgraded to meet the latest emission norms and produce 122 Ps of power and 300 Nm of torque. It still comes with a sole 6-speed manual transmission option with power being channelled to the front wheels. Earlier Mahindra also confirmed that the diesel automatic marazzo is also in the pipeline through it get to see the light of the day. Mahindra is also offering marazzo with the ECO mode resulting in a reduced power output of 100 Ps. If we talk about the bs6 Mahindra marazzo rivals, the Maruti Suzuki MPV's the ertiga and XL6 both are offered with a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmission. Moving forward, marazzo will also be offered with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine from Mahindra's m-stallion family of engines showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 and will produce 163 Ps of power and 280 Nm of torque mated to either a 6-speed manual or an Aisin source 6-speed auto gearbox.

With the bs6 update marinara not only upgrade marazzo engine but they also use this opportunity to revamp marazzo's variant line-up. The four trim levels in bs4 marazzo ( M2, M4, M6 and M8) has been reduced to three variants ( M2, M4+ and M6+) in bs6 version of MPV. This shuffling of variants has led to the new variants to gain some features over those offered previously. The base M2 variant of Bs6 marazzo doesn't see any feature revision but the M4+ variant now adds 16- inch alloy wheels, steering mounted controls and remote locking to the package as compared to the M4 trim it replaces. Similarly, the M6+ variant now gain some kit from the earlier top-spec M8 variant including 17-inch alloy wheels, a rear parking camera and automatic climate control. The updated bs6 marazzo is available in a total of five colour options: Mariner maroon, Iceberg white, shimmering silver, Oceanic black and Aqua marine. Top-spec variant M6+ of updated marazzo is Rs 1 lakh cheaper than the previously offered top-spec M8 variant. The premium MPV from Mahindra will continue to rival the like of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Maruti Suzuki XL6, Renault triber and sits below Toyota Innova Crysta.
